Thomas Fazackerley
One of the worlds first rail passenger service, the
Manchester Liverpool railway ran right past the Culcheth in 1830. This was
when Thomas was 17. Almost inevitably, by 1841 Thomas was a porter working in Liverpool
and living at Harrington Street. By 1851, the family had moved to 17 Crosbie
Street and by 1861 they were living in 36 Kitchen Street. By 1871 they had moved to 253 Upper Frederick Street and Thomas was
now a Railway Foreman. By 1881 they had moved to 129 Park Lane, the house
Thomas eventually died in.
